Summary
"Edge computing in space" is an emerging area of the satellite industry, with many new companies working on different applications within this domain. Therefore, the group of companies working on the different parts of future of space computing, have created the “Edge Computing in Space Alliance” with the intent to pursue the following goals:

- Democratizing access to space for every industry sector
- Developing common technical standards and protocols
- Cooperation on joint technology development projects
- Presentation of applications, standards and tools developed.
